Service Pins Awarded for 2010
Service Pins for Month of August

August Service PinsSix employees received pins for their service to Dare County at the August 16, 2010 Dare County Board of Commissioners meeting.   The six have a total of 75 years of service to the county in EMS, Libraries, the Health Department, and the Sheriff’s Office.  Dare County congratulates the following employees who were recognized and are pictured from left to right: Pamela Tate, EMT Intermediate with EMS, 10 Year Pin; Elizabeth Fiedler, Library Assistant, 10 Year Pin; Jeffrey Mitchell, EMS Lieutenant, 10 Year Pin; Rosa King, Community Health Technician with the Health Department 10 Year Pin; Katharina Bracey, Technical Services Supt., 20 Year Pin; and Walter Duprey, Deputy Sheriff Sergeant, 15 Year Pin.


Service Pins for Month of July

Pictured from the left: Patricia Bush, EMT Intermediate with EMS, received her 20 year pin; Sally Carswell, Senior Customer Service Representative with the Water Department, received her 10 year pin; Tonda Cutrell Flynn, EMT Paramedic, received her 20 year pin; John Daniels, Parks Superintendent with Parks and Recreation, received his 25 year pin; Elizabeth Walker, EMT Paramedic, received her 20 year pin; Jason McPherson, Parks and Maintenance Crew Leader with Parks and Recreation, received his 15 year pin; Tola Edmond, In-Home Service Aid with Social Services, received her 15 year pin; and Glenn Bailey, Sanitation Equipment Operator with Public Works, received his 15 year pin.Eight Dare County Employees were recognized for their years of service at the July 19, 2010 Dare County Board of Commissioners meeting.  There was a total of 140 years of combined service to Dare County among those recognized.

Service Pins for Month of June

Nettie Midgett, Senior Property Appraiser with the Tax Department, and Phillip Etheridge, Chief Deputy SheriffDare County employees Nettie Midgett, Senior Property Appraiser with the Tax Department, and Phillip Etheridge, Chief Deputy Sheriff, were awarded service pins during the June 7 Dare County Board of Commissioners meeting. Midgett received her 15 Year Pin from, Tax Assessor Greta Skeen, and Etheridge received his 25 Year Pin from, Sheriff Rodney Midgett.

Tillett received her 25 Year Pin from her supervisor, Ray Sturza, Planning Director. Hanusik was presented her 20 Year Pin by Susan Ruiz-Evans, County Extension Administrator. Suter received a 10 Year Pin from Public Safety Director Skeeter Sawyer.


Service Pins for Month of April

Jessica Phillips (left), Office Support Specialist, and Georgia Ellis, Administrative SpecialistJessica Phillips (left), Office Support Specialist, and Georgia Ellis, Administrative Specialist, were awarded pins for their years of service at the April 5 meeting of the Dare County Board of Commissioners.  Each received a 15 year pin. Sheriff Rodney Midgett awarded Phillips her pin. Phillips works with the 9-1-1 Telecommunications Division and Dare County Emergency Management. Ellis, who works in the County Fire Marshal’s Office, received her pin from County Fire Marshal Doug Remaley.

 


Service Pins for Month of March

Sandy Brookshire received her 20-year service pin

Sandy Brookshire and Dave Clawson received their 20-year service pin at the Monday, March 15 meeting of the Dare County Board of Commissioners.

Brookshire serves the county as a Social Worker Supervisor in the Department of Social Services and received her pin from Director Jay Burrus.

David Clawson (right) is the Finance Director for the county and received his pin from County Manager Bobby Outten.

Service Pins for Month of FebruaryDare County Commissioners awarded Service Pins to ten employees at their Monday, February 1 meeting. The employees included (seated, left to right): Stacy Ambrose, Air Operations Supervisor with the Dare County Airport, 20 Year Pin; David Daniels, Airport Superintendent with the Dare County Airport, 20 Year Pin; Joyce Edwards, Tax Processing Specialist with the Tax Collections Department, 25 Year Pin; Willer Spencer, Income Maintenance Caseworker III with Social Services, 15 Year Pin; and Eugene Grissom, Detention Officer with the Sheriff’s Office, 15 Year Pin. Ten Year Pins were awarded to  (standing, left to right): Gary Meeks, Detention Officer with the Sheriff’s Office; Tami Willis, Deputy Sheriff Master Officer; Pamela Hay, Public Health Nurse with the Health Department; Jonna Midgette, Social Worker III with Social Services; and Dianne Bryant, In Home Service Aide with the Health Department.

Lucy Berry, Tax Office, received her 10 year pin from Dare County Tax Assessor Greta Skeen, Wanda Lewis, Sheriff’s Office, received her 20 year pin from Sheriff Rodney Midgett, Ronald Flinchum and Selena Simpson, EMS, received their 10 year pins from Public Safety Director William ``Skeeter’’ Sawyer.The following four Dare County Employees were awarded pins for their years of service.
