Service Pins for the Month of
December
Five Dare County Employees were awarded service
pins at the Dare County Board of Commissioners meeting on December 1, 2008
totaling 55 years of service to Dare County. Those awarded pins are pictured
from left to right. Erin Putnam, Telecommunicator I, received her 10 year
pin; Elizabeth Campbell, Community Health Technician, received her 10 year
pin; Bonnie Hooper, Detention Assistant Shift Leader, received her 15 year
pin; Edward Scarborough, Deputy Sheriff, received his 10 year pin; and
Thomas Nieman, Deputy Sheriff, received his 10 year pin.

Service Pins for the Month of
November
Two Dare County Employees were awarded service pins in November. On the left,
Lt. Michelle Spelts, EMT Paramedic, received her 10 year pin. Her pin was
presented by William “Skeeter” Sawyer, Public Safety Director. On the right,
Dave Cheesman, Deputy Sheriff Master Officer, received his 25 year pin. His pin
was presented by Dare County Sheriff Rodney Midgett.

October
Three Dare County
employees were recognized at the October 6 Dare County Board of
Commissioners meeting. These employees have a total of 65 years of service
to Dare County. Sue Hewitt (right), In-Home Service Aid and
Supervisor II with the Health Department, received her 15 year pin; and Tom
Gray, Information Technology Director, received his 25 year pin.
Della Perry, Office Support Specialist with Older Adult Services, received her
25 year pin.

Year Pin; Sylvia Willis, EMT Paramedic, received her 20 Year Pin; Patricia
Hayman, Accounting Technician III with Social Services, received her 20 Year
Pin; Kathleen Pugh, EMT Paramedic, received her 15 Year Pin; and Bonnie Bennett,
Friends of Youth Manager, received her 20 Year Pin.

received a 10 Year Pin; Patricia McConnell, Finance Technician, received a
10 Year Pin; Paula Farah, Emergency Medical Technician Lt., received a 10
Year Pin; and Steve Taylor, EMS Deputy Director, received a 25 Year Pin.
Sheriff
Rodney Midgett was also awarded a 25 year pin for his service both as Chief
Deputy and as Sheriff. Sheriff Midgett was presented his pin by Dare
County Board of Commissioners Chairman Warren Judge.
